Bellingham's Brace Sends England Past Haaland and Norway

England are in the last four, and once again they have Jude Bellingham to thank. According to Sky Sports, the 23-year-old scored both of England's goals in a dramatic 2-1 extra-time victory over Norway in Miami, his second consecutive two-goal display at this tournament.

Norway took the lead through Andreas Schjelderup before Bellingham levelled just before half-time with a superb finish. The game remained level through 90 minutes before Bellingham pounced from close range in extra time to settle a gruelling contest played in sweltering Florida heat.

As The Guardian's Barney Ronay noted, Bellingham is playing what feels like his own parallel World Cup, a series of match-winning moments carrying a team that still has plenty to fix. Erling Haaland, who came in as Norway's great hope, was kept scoreless, with England's defenders, notably Marc Guehi and John Stones, standing firm in a physically demanding battle.

The victory sends England to Atlanta for a Wednesday semi-final, with Bellingham now on six tournament goals.
