Bilic Returns to Croatia With a Roar and a Promise
Slaven Bilic is back in charge of Croatia and has wasted no time declaring his ambition for the national side.
Croatia have turned to a familiar face to steer them forward, handing the manager's role back to Slaven Bilic for a second time, according to The Guardian's Football Daily. Bilic last took charge of Croatia back in 2006, and he says he arrives this time as a more seasoned coach.
His words on the appointment were bold and direct. He spoke of bringing energy, ambition and determination to the role, and of his belief that Croatia must stay among the elite of world football.
The Guardian reports that Bilic described himself as fully prepared and said he feels the same motivation and desire he had all those years ago, even if the experience he carries now is considerably greater.
