Burglars Target Lamine Yamal's Barcelona Home After Spain Win
Two masked intruders scaled the wall of Lamine Yamal's Barcelona property shortly after he helped Spain reach the World Cup final, according to The Guardian.
The night Lamine Yamal helped guide Spain into the World Cup final brought joy to millions of supporters, but closer to home it brought something far more alarming. According to The Guardian, citing La Vanguardia newspaper, two people wearing balaclavas climbed the wall of Yamal's Barcelona home in the aftermath of the semi-final victory.
The attempted break-in was foiled before it could progress. Private security guards at the property spotted the intruders and their presence was enough to send the pair fleeing without gaining entry.
Yamal himself was in Dallas competing in the semi-final at the time. The incident adds an unsettling dimension to the superstar's tournament, even as Spain prepare to contest the final on Sunday.
