Manzambi Steals the Show as Switzerland Crush Bosnia 4-1
Twenty-year-old substitute Johan Manzambi scored twice in a scintillating late cameo as Switzerland dismantled Bosnia-Herzegovina in Los Angeles.
Switzerland are firmly in control of their World Cup fate after an emphatic 4-1 win over Bosnia-Herzegovina in Los Angeles, a result that Sky Sports says puts them on the brink of the knockout stages.
For 73 minutes it was a quiet affair, but 20-year-old Johan Manzambi changed everything just 166 seconds after coming off the bench, crashing home a volley to break the deadlock. Bosnia were then reduced to ten men when Tarik Muharemovic received a straight red card for catching Breel Embolo on the heel as the last defender.
Embolo made the most of the extra space, setting up fellow substitute Ruben Vargas for a first-time finish to make it 2-0. Manzambi then completed an unforgettable cameo, side-footing in a composed second to give the Freiburg midfielder a brace on the night.
