Morocco Fight Back to Thrash Haiti 4-2 in Six-Goal Thriller
Morocco recovered from a nervy start to put four past Haiti in a pulsating World Cup match full of drama and goals.
Morocco produced a stirring comeback to beat Haiti 4-2 in a six-goal thriller at the 2026 World Cup, according to The Guardian.
Haiti gave a spirited display and the match was far from straightforward for Morocco. There was controversy along the way, with Haiti protesting vigorously over a goal by Rahimi, claiming a foul had been committed before he controlled the ball and finished. The VAR confirmed the goal stood.
Rahimi was also involved in Morocco's third goal, setting up a tap-in after Haiti's defenders stopped playing, apparently believing the ball had gone out of play before the video assistant referee again confirmed it was a legitimate strike.
The Guardian quoted Morocco's coach urging his players to believe they can go all the way, saying the squad now has "the best ingredients" to become a great footballing nation. Haiti, meanwhile, became the first side eliminated from the 2026 World Cup.
