Spain's Oyarzabal Shines in 3-0 Romp Past Austria
A double from Mikel Oyarzabal capped a dominant Spain display as they swept Austria aside and into the last 16.
Spain put on a masterclass against Austria, winning 3-0 to advance to the World Cup's last 16, with Mikel Oyarzabal grabbing two goals in a flowing team performance, according to The Guardian.
The match featured a stunning header from Pedro Porro as well as contributions from young star Lamine Yamal, whose dribbling and movement gave Austria's defence a torrid evening. Austria did look to press and create moments of danger, but could not match Spain's quality.
Oyarzabal's second was a particularly fine team move, beginning at goalkeeper Unai Simón and finishing with a precisely timed run and finish. The Guardian noted it offered a perfect portrait of how Spain want to play, smooth, purposeful and deadly.
