Yamal Trolls Gavi With Paredes Brawl Sign at Spain Parade
Lamine Yamal brought the laughs to Spain's World Cup bus parade by brandishing a sign referencing the post-final scuffle between team-mates Gavi and Leandro Paredes.
Spain's victory parade through Madrid was already a carnival, but Lamine Yamal made sure it had a punchline too. According to Sky Sports, the teenage winger held up a fan sign billing the altercation between Gavi and Argentina's Leandro Paredes after Sunday's final whistle as the "fight of the year."
The scuffle between the two midfielders had caught plenty of attention after Spain's 1-0 win, and Yamal's decision to wave the sign from the open-top bus showed the squad was happy to laugh about it with the celebrating crowd.
It was a typically light-footed moment from a player who seems to carry the weight of expectation with a grin. Spain's celebrations, it seems, came with a side of mischief.
